There are plenty of travel mug in the UK that prefer to'talk the talk'(say really cool things to impress you and make you get stuff), as the saying goes. This flask is one of the few that says a lot and follows it up. To begin with, the construction of the flask is exceptional. A great metallic shell on the outside the main cylinder and large drinking area of the cap feels top quality and sturdy. Even the plastic parts (of which it is very little) are well crafted, inside the main cap and small secondary cap. An appealing feature, that somebody has put some thought into could be the tightening of the spout cap-fitment and the drinking cap. Both take a few turns to lock into place, however they stop without further tightening needed. This is ace when taking the lids off and didn't need certainly to wrestle the caps off. WELL DONE DESIGNERS/ENGINEERS! Second, the flask'claims'to keep fluids hot for 24 hours. This is the first thing I tested when the flask arrived. The full kettle of boiling water went in. 6 hours in - still hot enough to scold. 12 hours in - again, hot enough to make a fresh brew of one's choice. 24 hours - the water was warm. Maybe if I had not opened the flask to check, and left it for the total 24 hours straight it could have been hotter, but in reality, a flask of coffee won't last 24 hours around myself. My only gripe with the flask could be the strap provided to carry when out and about. There is the opportunity the flask wasn't made to be hauled around such as for instance a solid water tank. I'm a big dude and so the size suits me, the strap unfortunately is flimsy. We completed the 5-mile hike using the strap fine. But I wouldn't call it comfortable. I is going to be using my tactical vest to transport my awesome flask as time goes on, that will be fine with me. Each stop had an attractive hot brew waiting! I don't feel that many people will carry this around that way I actually do, but if you are not intimidated by this flasks heft, it's brilliant. I would suggest this to anyone on long visits away from a kettle/coffee/tea drinking facilities.
